{winner.winner.chicken dinner.}

So Tina you won the 'buying' one by the skin of your teeth in  a raging battle ... lol. :)
and sister Suzy won the 'love' one !!!

How are you all spending your week before Christmas??

This is what I am doing---

This one measures 36x10 inches. and was painted in black with cream lettering.

For a friend who saw these in my m.i.l.'s living room. and desperately wanted  them as well.
They each measure 15x15 inches. and are also painted black with cream distressed lettering.

They both were orders from people for Christmas gifts...

Merry Christmas to all ....
May your week be filled with peace...

{for sale/or auction/give-away}

Good evening to all. and to all a good evening.
It's been BUSY over here It has been a lovely day, doing laundry, folding laundry, painting signs (3 are done 3 more to go yet tonight.) cutting wood, sanding, painting. cooking supper, sitting down at the sewing machine to squeak in a few seams.(I love sewing clothes that only have 3 pieces to them.) Dresses are lovely when they take 3 seconds to cut and about 8 minutes to sew. Crepes for supper. (at the astounding request of my husband. which made me smile!!!) The hungry stomachs of 2 grateful men filled by my cooking. Makes me feel content inside knowing I have that power and/or the opportunity to do it !!!

    I really wasn't planning on doing this auction style...but my other side of my brain persuaded me.
I will set my lowest price for this one a bit higher as it is quite a bit bigger than any other one I have sold on here.

Here it is. In all its 'niceness'. Declaring your love for your newest arrival, or just to proclaim your never ending love for all your kids...
 The size is approx. 15 inches high by 30 inches long. It is cut from quality black vinyl.

I will start this bid at- $15.00
Remember bids can only rise by $1 segments. (none of this 1 penny  or 25 penny stuff !! lol )

and a GIVE-AWAY for anybody who places a bid ;) (boy, am I sneaky)  there will be one randomly drawn winner out of all the people who place a bid on this piece of wall art. and if no body does I will keep it for
myself. :)

toodles my friends....

o. give-away closes on Friday at 9am PST. (10 MST)

Now I NEED your help. I switched to private as those of you who are reading this obviously figured out...
Was it hard to get onto here?
If it was easy for you, do you think it could/would be difficult for some one who is not that computer smart to figure it out?

Tell me pretty please :)
Thanks- Jenn

{a lesson learned}

Sleeping. Deeply.
Finally. Work was long and when I got home all I wanted was my pj's and my bed.
Deeply Sleeping.
Ding Dong. (the door bell)
I awaken, groggy.
O right, the door bell. I roll over and decide 'they' can wait.
But than I decide, No I better get up and at least check and see
who it is. (through my lil peepster hole)
I open the door.
and there. My handsome guy.
With 1 dozen pink roses.
and the awesomest-made-me-cry card.

Lesson learned. Always check the door :)

{again. pray}

Do you have a little kid in your life that adore? Your own little boy? A nephew, niece, 'god-child'....?
Do you sometimes wish your kids would quit fighting and screaming at each other? or quit terrorizing you?! :)
(I know you love them :) )
This mama just wishes already that she could hear her 2 little boys tearing it up in their own little house!!!

If you do than for the sake of a scared, tired out, ready for answers mommy and daddy. and for a little just turned 1 year old boy who is sick of getting 'poked' .
Please pray. Ashton's mommy and daddy are friends of mine from Alberta. and he is really really sick.
It started out as E.Coli and now turned into HUS..
If you want to learn more, and/or follow along in this hard time you can click here. to read more.

I believe in the power of prayer.

{in which I conclude I am abnormal}

James and I hit up Lowe's this morning in search of some plumbing things (to better up the bathroom for when my dearest parents arrive!!!!) and for some wood. ...and if they had it, a palm sander for me. I went and got the plumbing essentials I needed, and together we picked out some pieces of wood. Then I toodled on over to the garden department to pick up a flower to take the place of a severely neglected verbena.
 Then I called James and told him I was ready. We met by the tools.
 And I asked him, "Did you look for a palm sander for me?"
He said, " ya, but they don't really have anything.'
I was like" really? nothing?"
"ya, really. Nothing."
I being a naturally submissive laid back person (not) went along with it and we paid up.
Got out to our little bomb car, and
"Happy Birthday " along with a 'Lowe's' bag landed in my lap.
"the reason there was not a single palm sander for you in there is because it was already out in the car."

uh-huh. He is mine.

I nearly hit the roof (it's really not that high in those little cars) with excitement. and then I said-

"you really married a weird-o. You know, right? "
"ya, really which wife gets excited about her husband buying her A SANDER!!!???"

What on earth will she use a palm sander for, you are wondering ?

Remember this?

The edges on these were never smooth enough for me... I never felt like with using a simple little piece of sand paper I could get the 'worn' effect I was looking for...

But things are about to change in this house because now I own one of these------

 and with it's help I made this-
please don't look at back ground!!!!

ps. cross your fingers I get my menu plan up today!!!

{fridge love}

  How is your fridge door? Full? Stark white/black/stainless with not a thing on it? Fingerprints?
Do Pictures, cards, quotes cover it from top to bottom? or do your prefer it 'blank'?
 My fridge is my 'point of joy' in my kitchen. Is it yours?
 I have pictures of strange creatures created up in his head and drawn out in a bright orange crayon by my blue eyed nephew Coby, a picture of some cowboys , surrounded by the green rolling hills and grass of 'my home',  proclaiming the goodness of Alberta Beef...
Pink Breast cancer magnets remind me of my mums courage to fight and conquer!!! ♥ Wedding Invitations of dear friends scattered across remind me never to forget that feeling of 'young love'... Of course my menu plan is plastered up there too, lest I forget what to cook! A magnet proclaiming that 'NO MAN HAS EVER BEEN SHOT WHILE WASHING DISHES' gives my husband courage to sometimes get his hands wet !
Baby announcements proclaiming the births of new little people! of more little nephews for me - Jaxson, Benjamin, & Joey♥  A bookmark from my mum that says- 'Take care of yourself, you belong to me'... I know how much she loves me...  A quote that I always have loved by Alexander Smith- Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others and the delight in the recognition. uh-huh.
 A post card from 'The Prairies'
Cards sent form friends, my sisters, from all over this continent bring smiles to my face... 'I had this best friend when I was a kid. I got to keep her all my life' yep, Jessi, its true ♥. Crysi and I really will still be this good of friends "when we're old..." that's the kind of friend she is.
 and a wooden magnet proclaims that its a ' Happy Wife. Happy Life' ;) Good reminder, I guess!! another one tells me that- I should- ' in the rain'. (I try, but it seems that's when the frogs come out.and if you don't understand why that should hinder me, continue on down to the last post I wrote)

 Now do you see why its a  'point of joy'? It's Loaded with love. and I never want to see it empty. If it is, it will mean my life is bleak, I always want my fridge door full. full of happy!

So, is your fridge door full? Does your husband wish it was 'clean'? Whats your favorite thing that is on it right now... ?

{a long slithering snake}

 Long and black, winding; moving much to fast for me. Hissing when I moved to close. Not looking quite so scary when I backed down. It kept on, I was tense. It swerved toward me, causing me to gasp out, while my knuckles turned whiter. I grabbed hold of the steering wheel with both hands, and wished the 'long snake of traffic' would disappear. Sleepy, un-attentive drivers swerving all over the road, while driving  on this packed Interstate. It was too much for me. We stopped at Sonic. LOL.
 Now for the real snake. There was one today. I worked with James, skimming pools of mice, frogs and yes. a SNAKE. real. and thankfully,dead. But it was there in the 'dump bucket' on the back of the pick-up and I was leary of it all day, it didn't help that a 'drunk on chlorine half dead' frog flopped out of that same bucket not much after that. I skirted that pick-up all day. and than I knew why I started at a Bakery.
Cuz there are NO reptiles there. Yep. I finally figured it out.
 Although I do miss working with James, I do NOT miss the tenseness of coming up to a pool and slowly peering under neath the concrete edging and checking for lurking bloated, purple, sometimes still (barely) kicking reptiles. Yes.
 I now know why I am a 'barista' :)

{menu plan& a 'catch up'}

Is everybody enjoying the fall? Or is it just winter already for some of you?
Here the sun has been beaming down us for the last few days, we had some good rain which (finally) refreshed this allergen and smog infested air! It feels good to breath fresh air again :) or whatever!!! My pansies are blooming away, I was scared when I planted them that it would be too hot yet, but I was told to keep them well watered and they would be fine. and fine they are! Almost doubled in size since I planted them a few weeks ago!
  My work, selling calorie and carb loaded foods to the hundreds, is fun! I do get very tired of rising at 6am every single day, but then the pay cheque every 2 weeks makes it worth it! (and the freedom to 'blow' a bit of money *wink*)  It (the carb and calorie loaded food) also is taking its toll on my hips. They are loving every single little cookie I snitch, every 'Salted Caramel Mocha' I make to sip my self. O they are thriving let me tell you!!! and it must.and it WILL stop. It has to. It really really does.
 So onto to productive things here is my menu plan for this week...

MONDAY-  Skillet Chicken & Cheese Enchiladas, lettuce salad
TUESDAY  - Chili, corn bread, carrots
FRIDAY  Honey Lemon Chicken with Mashed Potatos and gravy (I KNOW again, right!?we ♥'d it!!)
SATURDAY left overs or go out. (its a looong day of work for me so I dislike cooking on this day!!!)

There you go..In all its plain-ness. Our menu. Remember, any of the recipes you want? Leave me a comment and I'll either e-mail it to you or post it on here!!!
Do you enjoy when I post these plans? Let me know how many of you actually get ideas from it!!! I'd love to know :)

his laugh, see his smile...
Thinking of them today with lots of love and prayers....

{for your information, pizza my way!!!}

We have only eaten ONE meal off of this whole entire menu plan. All week long.
I guess its just one of those weeks. I am hoping tomorrow I can try my hand at cooking up a roast tho!!!
Guess who will NOT be making up a menu plan for next week??? (only because I have a weeks worth of food waiting to be eaten !!!)
These Californian, apparently have never heard of making your own pizza. I guess when Little Ceasers, Dominoes, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut and what not else are right around the corner (or with in delivery range) you don't need to make it. (I still DO eat that stuff, cause sometime you don't have TIME  to make your own,so... one must be content!!! LOL!!!)
I am hoping that slowly but surely I can warp their brains into thinking that home made is STILL better.:)
(the closest pizza place when I was growing up was at least 45 min. away. Now there is a Pizza place 10 miles from my you don't really just 'run and get it' :)

Here is a recipe for you-
My Favorite Pizza Dough
Courtesy of  my all time hero of country cooking - The Pioneer Woman !!!!

PIZZA DOUGH (for bread machine. if you want!!)
1 tsp. regular yeast
1.5 cups (quite) warm water
1/3 cup oil (I use canola. always.)
4 cups flour (if you do whole wheat flour do maybe 3.5 or less....)
1 tsp. salt.

Dump into bread machine in this order. When its done, spread it in  2 cookies pans (if you like it thin)
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. (honest.)
Saute some onion and bell pepper. Add shredded cooked chicken. Dump on about 1/2 to 3/4 cup
of BBQ sauce. Stir together, and put on your dough. Sprinkle cheese and pineapple over top.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

(as I get ready to leave the house for a pizza joint. snicker.)

Head on over here for this last weeks menu plan!!!

{menu planning 09.05-09.11}

Another care free week... I have to admit. I am proud. I really am. I am proud of myself. I LOVED coming home from work every single day last week and knowing that all I had to do was go look at my menu on the fridge and pull out the ingredients. My life. turned simple. None of that stress. Do I have this or that. Or WHAT ON EARTH DO I COOK??? So I hope if you are one of the people that claim you 'don't have time' to make up a plan. Than you really are nuts :) Just kidding!!!! Use my menu plan than :)
Once again. Breakfast consists of cereal. Lunch is packed or fast food for James and me.. I don't eat. Ha! (not.)

MONDAY- Tacos.
TUESDAY- Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese. apple sauce.
photo source same as recipe

WEDNESDAY- Grilled Ham Steaks. Roasted Potatoes. Fresh fruit of some kind!!!
THURSDAY- Chinese Casserole. Green beans(sauteed in butter sprinkled with a wee bit of brown sugar.)mmm.
FRIDAY- I know we will have leftovers from Thursday. So we will eat that:)
SATURDAY- Pizza Night. (unless we go back to and eat some of that crazy awesome catfish and peach cobbler we had last Saturday night !!!)
SUNDAY- Lunch/Dinner. Roast Beef.  Pioneer Woman's Way with gravy and all the fixins !!!
(We didn't eat the beef today. I was home alone. so I guess it'll keep till next Sunday!)

ps. the grilled cheese and Pioneer Woman both have links to the original recipe. Ask me and I will gladly hand out any recipe on here that you want!

{a bunch of stuff}

Once again, I DID make up a menu plan and was planning to post it on Monday morning, but once again the blogger was not cooperating. so I am sorry.
But I have a recipe i'd like to share that I made last night for supper. It was a huge hit over here, first because it required no dishes, 2nd I had no hot oven, only a grill, 3rd It was yummy :)

photo source
chicken hobo dinner

4 small boneless skinless chicken breasts (1 lb./450 g)
4 tsp. taco seasoning mix
1/2 lb. (225 g) red potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
1 cup Kraft Tex Mex Shredded Cheese
1/2 cup salsa
1/4 cup sour cream

make it

HEAT oven to 400°F. Sprinkle chicken with seasoning mix. Place 1/2 cup potatoes on centre of each of 4 large sheets of heavy-duty foil; top with chicken, cheese and salsa.
BRING up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to seal each packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Place in 15x10x3/4-inch baking pan.
BAKE 30 to 35 min. or until chicken is cooked through (170°F). Cool 5 min. Cut slits in foil to release steam before opening. Top with sour cream.

Important note!!!
If you are grilling it, like I did, do for sure 2 layers of foil. Grill until done :)

I am busy trying to finish up a baby book for a friend... Lots of you have wanted to see how they look... Here is just one page of a very 'farmerish' one :) I use the same formats, (unless you request differently) and switch up the colors, pictures, etc. as you wish! so with out furter adieu-
The 'cow' page-
sorry.i promise when I took this it was not fuzzy.
I'll post another one soon!!!
ok... so thats all for tonight people! Hasta la Vista .
I ate Authentic true Red Mexican enchiladas tonight, courtesy of a sweet Mexican Mama and her son :)

{itty bitty prayers}

You all know about the time I spent in New Mexico, taking care of abused and neglected Navajo Indian kids.
One night, around 10pm. Nine of us girls were officially 'off'. and one girl was officially 'on'; the 'night girl'.
She went down the long steep stairs to do her first 'night check' and make sure the the girls were in their own beds and the boys in theirs, the babies were sleeping and the 2 year olds weren't having nightmares or sleeping in wet beds.
  Only the first rooms got checked, because when she came to the 'big girls' room. It did not budge. (there are no locks on any of the kids bedroom or bathroom doors.) It did not move. (she was not weak.)
Some how it came out that 2 of the girls in that room had 'ran away'. seriously. the middle of the night. (for them)
photo source
She came bounding up those stairs telling us to come help! We searched. We called. We yelled. Where were they. Two (about) 9 year old girls  running around a town thats barely considered safe during the day for a child, much less at night.
Than. 'She' stopped another girl and I. and said lets pray. We stood there, under the shadow of the big rocks. Under the starry sky. We held hands. and she prayed. simple. "keep them safe, and bring them back." that's all.  and it taught me so much. so so much. About prayer and about how much God really does care, and that prayers so do not need to be elaborate speeches. But rather, something simply spoken, like asking a favour of your best friend.
 It taught me that God really truly cares, when you are literally flying around your house trying to leave for church and your shoe is missing and you say- 'God, please, my shoe' . I find it. and all is well. He cares when I am trying to sew and the bobbin thing-y is almost out of thread, but, it makes it to the end of the seam, and there it stops. He planned that. He cares. about every.little.bitty.thing.
 He cares about such tiny details. and every time He works one of these 'miracles' I stand in awe. and I wonder why 'faith and trust' are such an issue in me. Because time and time again He proves His love... By answering my itty bitty prayers I pray...  Even when I've prayed 6 times in one day to find my cell phone. He still hears me!!

 (The police found the girls. and brought them back. Imagine this. Us girls crying like babies that they were found yet, madder than ever that they had had the nerve to leave.)

{another day}

Today was another one of *those* days...
The day where I wandered
what on earth am I doing here...
One of those days where I wept uncontrollably. panicked.
than I remembered another day like this. Where I wrote. and the responses that I got blew me away!!!
 so I went back. I went back to this place and I
of those comments of love you gave me. Where you
'lifted me up' and even through the tears
 I saw hope shining through.

Thank you again... from my heart.
Go ahead. Go read them. Put your name where mine is.
and take the encouragement for yourself!!!!
Feel the love of people that truly care.
and know that somewhere. (its true!) somebody
is thinking about you.

{a very worthy cause}

Remember the couple that lost their little girl to a drowning accident? I had a link to her blog...
(she quit the blog due to complications) Remember?
Her and her husband want to honour their little 'smile' so ... ya- read on for your self :)
and remember in a world where there a so many needs - a little bit can go a long way!!

Hi... when we lost our little angel, we also lost a beautiful smile.  A smile we wish we could see again.  A smile we can only see in our minds.  We knew we wanted to set up a memorial for our little girl.
One day over the funeral, we remembered a place that fixes children's smiles.  Fixes cleft palates.  The feeling was strong that we set up a memorial in honor of Lauren.  In memory of beautiful smiles.  So that other little children can smile too.
Thus the creation of this online fund with smile train.
You don't have to donate.  It is entirely up to you.  We have a goal for 13 smiles for 13 months.  If you know of anyone who would like to donate, please pass this email on.  The address is:
If for some reason you can't get on here, plese let us know.
Thank you in advance.

{menu planning}

So I am going to try it. I have been for the last little while trying to do menu planning somewhat. But it seems I still have those panicky moments at 6 o'clock where I wonder WHAT DO I MAKE.  I thought maybe if I decided to post this every week it would help me to for sure do it!!! Now this is going to let you in on my wickedly awful simple way of cooking but than again. so what! I can always hope that it might make you realize that all your outlandish recipes that you think you must cook really are not worth the stress every single night!! (grinning!!) LOL! {busy busy!!}

Hey! I am still alive! Even though I write' meloncholy-ly' two posts in a row and than 'dissappear' for 2 weeks! I am still here!
My most favorite project of all times had been sitting neglected for far too long...
I had a before picture of this baby, and honestly. It is gone:( I wish you could have seen it was all together nothing-ness. that I bought for $2.00. and hauled home from a yard sale.)

I showed you this picture awhile ago...

Now for the finished product!!!

Where the handle is is actually a door thingy that opens up and it is a darling way to hide a 1/4 of my shoe collection!!!
It started out white. and warped.and wasted. and 'wanting'. It was that cheap 'put together yourself stuff from Wally world that had white plasticy stuff glued on top' know what I mean???
I cut and screwed 1 1/2 inch wide pieces of wood to the sides. To act as 'feet' and so I would have something substantial to attach the 'bench part' too...
I covered the new top with foam and hot glued and tacked on burlap!!!!
Than in a wild attempt to add something cool and to copy  my Funky Junk friend I created a stencil out of vinyl and did this

         T0M 1Y0

Thats where I'm from ladies. Right there.
It was soooo fun!! and now I have a spot to sit down to put my shoes on at the door  dump all my junk on at the door, plus a super cute spot to hold my shoes! Instead of tripping on them!!!

And one last thing that I did yesterday... It's a very non traditional baby shower gift but... than again. Have I ever been traditional??!!
Do you want one? Let me know:)
So long....
I have been in 107 degree weather today.. and my head and body are feeling the effects...not cool. and no it is not a sun burn. Toodles...

Go on over to Whatever Wednesday!! I linked up there!!

{'she' speaks again}

She sat there...picking her nails, playing with her keys, chattering with the babies that know not a word... Listening to the happy banter of voices chatting about the latest this and that... What stage of baby food the baby's are at, and how 'she loves the stand and pull things off the table already'. 'What they are going to do on this rainy day evening...How they are so ready for their husbands to spend a day at home..'. Then, she spoke, words that were only in reference to what some one else had spoken. and eyes turned. and stared- at her.
... She went home and wondered-'did I say something wrong?' Did I offend some one? What was I said worthy of a stare?!.
and she decided that either she was going to have to not let 'eyes staring' bother her or stay quiet and 'just listen'' to the conversations around her...
So part of this is fiction and part of it comes straight from my heart. But, just so you know, this didn't literally happen!

It's a crazy busy life I am living.
and it seems like everything is getting wiped out from under my feet. But hey! at least I am busy and not moping around wishing for something to do, eh?! But sometimes other things suffer when I get hectic-----

My house can not stay clean, my laundry can not get done!
And I have a lady waiting on baby announcement samples from me, a wedding memory book that needs to be finished,
 a family cook book that still has 20 recipes that need typing up,

a dress that needs to be sewed and a serger machine that needs thread,
 a website that needs  prices on it,
 a wedding gift that needs to be made

an unfinished bench that needs to be finished!!!  So I am going to go, and try and get something done.
Happy day to you all!!! Jenn

This blog is mine. My  place to share my thoughts, feelings, whatever... whatever is on my heart, my mind. be it sad, happy, lonely, morbid, goofy, cute, or convicting!  This is my place to write and to 'let go'. So, if anything that I write bothers you, hurts, offends you- I am sorry. But maybe than you can just step aside, instead of judging or being critical! Because this a safe place for me, I am going to write what is on my heart, and not worry about who or what reads it. k? all clear? great! Cause I have more to write! xo

She stands back,watching the crowd; laughing,talking. Wishing, longing, wanting, to be a part, to be one with them. A tear slips by. She bites her lip till she tastes the bitter taste of blood, trying in vain to stop the onslaught of emotions overwhelming her.
"what, God.? what is it you want me here for? Why, here? Why now? You say there is a reason. A time and place for everything. But seriously. This? this emotion. this fear. this pride? How can I give in? How can I forsake it all. You chose wrong. There are certainly better candidates to be here. Ones that fit in. Ones that are already here! Really. Why am I here? To be a friend? Yes, to be a wife! But come on! Surely there is more?
I can be a friend. But my qualifications don't seem enough. I love kids but there does not seem to be any in need right here. so. what? I'll be waiting to hear from you..."
and with that she resigned, her turmoiled thoughts, and fell asleep. And when she woke up, she felt a lot better!;)

So part of this is fiction and part of it comes straight from my heart. But, just so you know, this didn't literally happen!

{a poem I wrote in 2008}

I am sitting here and wandering what was my life before?
Before I entered Navajoland did I know what it meant to 'give more'
Did I know the deep satisfaction  in loving with no end.
A child that reeked of liquor?or one his mom 'just couldn't stand'?
A child that cried for hours that panic stricken wail.
Desperate to get rid of my love that would not fail.
My arms that held him firmly did not speak of love to him
It made him think of anger or that he'd been bad again!
Did I know that patience is the key to gaining trust?
& when it's time to potty train, it is than a must?!
Did I know that patience  is what would help me through each hour
when attention spans were varied because of what their moms devour?
Did I remember from way back that Jesus listens close
when little boys pray fervently for the 'girl that cleans the clothes'
or for the 'cooker lady' that 'she'll make good food to eat'
or that when we are sleeping 'angels will stand around the gate'?
Did I know that Jesus cares when I am tired of folding clothes?
He cares so much in fact, He'll send a 'sis' to bear the load.
Or a 'tape-note' on the washer. "they made a brand new kind.(of washer)
it washes and it folds it" (no you haven't lost your mind)
did I really know what love was, before I set my feet
into this land of red rocks, love thats boundless & complete?
To hug a child completely, who's hair is caked with 'bugs'
who doesn't know what 'bath' means, cause moms to busy doing drugs.
Is how Jesus looks at us all, dirty sinful lowly men.
But He  looks beyond our 'bugs' with a love that never ends.
Did I know my love I gave, reflected on what I've got?
The kisses on the grubby cheeks,  was God's love being passed on.
Did I know that the best friendships, are made by the 'big girls' beds
when its 2 of us a-singing and we wonder, will it end?
or your working in the kitchen , cooking for this tribe
crying,talking,singing, laughing-till you nearly split your sides!
No, so many things I did not know before I walked inside
the doors of a house so familiar, I could now walk through it blind.
No before I drove up 3rd street, all the way up top the hill.
I never knew so much stuff, that my heart could be SO FULL.
So full of deepest 'mother' love, for children, not my own.
But ones despite their loudest cries, were sent to this 'child care home'
For us to love, to teach of God, that he's 'so Big and strong'
he'll 'keep the bad guys out', then we'd sing the 'twinkle' song.
And now I'm leaving going on from here. My heart is broke in two.
How can I leave these black haired babes? I am giving them to you.
my fellow 'sisters' following me,to God, and back to their land,
the Great Spirit of their nation, please hold tight their tiny hands.
So I can leave in peace, knowing you will carry on.
loving, kissing hugging them from mid-night until dawn.

so. this poem might not make a speck of sense to any of you. but to me? this was my life. My WHOLE life. crammed into 6 short months. way to short. I still dream of this life. Of going back and sleeping in bunk beds, of always having 9 other girl-friends to hang out with when the cleaning, and laundry were done, and our voices were hoarse from singing lullaby's to the kids as they fell asleep...Of soothing a child, a hurting, abused, aching, frightened, screaming child. Of seeing them smile, as you plunked them into that tall tub, for a bath.
Yes, I dream of those days... I dream of black haired babies with names that you couldn't pronounce!
someday... someday I will go back... until then... I am still dreaming:)

(by the way. I do love James and I do enjoy being married to him, In this dream, he goes back there with me;) )

{{happenings concerning 2 dogs.mine & the neighbours.}}

 So my dog may or may not be having puppies. We have yet to know if the dog visiting her was male or female. or neither. It is with many crossed toes and fingers that it was the later one. (O but there was a dog back there.) I saw it. James saw it. But maybe it was a dog that just isn't quite sure whats its supposed to be any more. A female or a male.
 The first time he told me was when we were driving along, after leaving supper plans.
In a very non-chalant voice- "O honey. Before when I looked out the window , there was a, umm, dog out there with Zoe. "  Yes. Indeed. My horrified eyeballs nearly popped right out of my blonde head. and my jaw hit my bony shoulder. "A. DOG.WAS.IN MY BACK YARD. WITH MY DOG???"
 "o YEAH?"

Well the question is now. If she is pregnant? What on this earth will we do with a passel of pure bred Cocker Spaniels and some poodle/shitzu/chihuahua/ (Thank goodness for spell check cause I didn't ever spell that word before) cross? And if she is not pregnant? I will kiss her. Than I will take her to get 'fixed up' So, she too will join the ranks of not knowing exactly what her role in dog life is... Besides being my 'guard dog'!

Needles to say, she now is tied up. Poor thing. But our poor old rickety fence came tumbling down last week, (after this incident,mind you)  in a horrifying wind storm. and me. Can not risk the chance of having her wander in to 'that' dogs back yard.
No, indeed.

Would you go over to the neighbour and ask about what ranks their dog is in? Female, male or neither? Or would you just wait it out and see what happens?

{{a friend who needs support}}

If you want to do something worthy while you are 'snooping' around on blogs
head on over to my friend over at lifelovefamilyfriends, and give her your hugs, love and support as she travels
an awful, nightmarish journey through grief. They lost their little girl Lauren in a drowning accident
a week ago yesterday...

ONE RULE. You MUST leave her a encouraging comment. NONE of this looking and leaving.
She needs it and it can be your kind deed for the day... and for the days to come...
Do a double good deed and become a follower...

Thank you for helping to spread the love...
