{crazy?}
Have you? I have. I have even done worse. Thrown (basically) clean clothes into the hamper just so I don't have to put them away.
So tell me. Have you done this?
If not. Do you just have that much self discipline or do you just Love folding all those socks and what-nots?!
Be honest. I need to know if I am normal :)
just this weekend i REwashed about 5 of my old everyday dresses that had sat in the dryer too long and then sat in the laundry basket too long and were a rumpled mess... now they are hung over the back of a chair!!!! Not much better but i did save them from the dryer :) i like folding clothes but not hanging up dresses shirts etc.... and sometimes they dont get put in the drawers... we just live out of the laundry basket. Ask my hubby :) good to know im not the only semi lazy one :)
ReplyDeleteYa well as of right now I only have one laundry basket and it is full of socks so we live off the couch ;)
DeleteSome of us young married ladies were just discussing this the other day, and I found out that I wasn't the only one whose laundry sat unfolded for days... :( I do feel bad about my husband having to run to the laundry room for clean clothes, tho! But I don't know that I've ever restarted the dryer just becuz I didn't feel like folding it! :) I find out that when I get folding, it actually doesn't take me very long at all, and I don't mind it too much, and I wonder why it's so hard to just go do it!!
ReplyDeleteI set a timer once for 5 min. I got waaay more folded in that amount of time than I dreamed it was possible:)
DeleteAll the time. Or I'll fold something with the intention of hanging it up when I get upstairs - then I don't. So I throw it back in the wash so I don't have to iron it. . .
ReplyDeleteuh-huh. same story over here :)
Deleteoh wow! this sounds like me. :) its embarrassing but when I finally get the laundry washed we have to dig through it on the couch fr the next week.... If company comes I swish it to the back room and shut the door... Trying to do better.... but laundry is NOT my strong point :) teresa
ReplyDeleteSoon your kids will be old enough to fold it for you and you will never have to again:) thats what I am waiting for:)lol!
DeleteNo, not the dryer; I'm always scared I'll shrink something beyond repair.
ReplyDeleteBut.
I have ran another rinse cycle or even rewashed a load when it sat in the washer too long.
You go all the way,eh? Not just wasting electricity but water too :)lol!!! I do the same, smelly clothes are NOT cool so they get re-washed...
DeleteWhat would Grama say???m
ReplyDeleteI know mum. she would be horrified!!!
DeleteYes I have put those'thrown on the hook or floor clothes that are half worn' back in the wash hamper. Ya. Done that. But I like the pink picture/saying at the top of this post! Gonna make that a wall art? :)I'll buy one when you do...
ReplyDeleteOk, what kind of freak am I? I fold and put away all laundry the day its washed; I can't stand it left in dryer or basket. Do I need help?
ReplyDeleteO I am laughing!!!No you do NOT need help. I am quite very certain your kids and husband adore you for this trait:)
DeleteI want to learn from you!!
Ha Jenn wait til you have 3 little boys who wet their pants or ride bike thru mud puddles or spill ketchup on their shirts and HAVE to change their clothes 3 times a day- THEN you will have laundry. Yes, I have a pile of laundry sitting here right now & the washer has some in it since last night :{ I better get to work! xoxo
ReplyDeletehmmm... I have done that! And right now I have 1 large basket HEAPED with clothes to fold... towels in the washer... towels in the dryer... and 2 HEAPING baskets worth of IRONING... yes... wait til you have 3 boys! :)
ReplyDeletewell, jennieee...i am chuckling...cause you remember me with 3 little boys too, right?!! i usually got it washed, it was the folding and putting away i didn't get to... surpise...you might not live the rest of your life this way...your uncle always said, 'at least it's clean' when he had to dig through the pile of clean clothes...and i'm sure grama wanted to despair with me...poor lady was still trying to fold my laundry for me weeks before she died...i think she MIGHT be just a lil bit proud of me for doing better now;)
