  1. About those pork chops...I had year-plus-old, chunky, canned salsa that I didn't want to throw out so I browned pork chops in olive oil (seasoned with garlic powder, salt & pepper & oregano first), threw them and a pint of salsa and about two inches of chicken broth in the crock-pot on low all day, and they were fall-apart done by supper time. I've made chops this way several times since and wish I had more salsa flops to get rid of.

  2. Saturday night... and I am very grateful I saw your comment as I sweetly included my mushroom soup in my bag of food for a food shower the other night... so IF I have all of this I just might try it:) sounds yummy!!!

  3. I just adore menu plans!!! Your's looks really fun, and I know you will enjoy those leftovers as well! We ALWAYS do Taco Tuesday; so the kids look forward to that. Menu planning saves money, too! You gave me a great idea to add in some asian dishes to our weekly menu, thanks!!!!!

Yes, menu planning rocks!! Saves me money and that annoying time I spend scratching my head around 5:00 :)

  4. My favourite way to do pork chops in the slow cooker is to dump a can of mushroom soup over the chops, add some sliced onions and a couple whole potatoes. Then we like to use the mushroom soup as 'gravy' for the potatoes. I learned this from my mother-in-law and it's so wonderfully simple! :) p.s. we just got back from CA Friday nite & now one of the bins in my fridge is FULL of yummy oranges! :)
