{where do you find lost socks??}

Where do you? I don't know.
But one day in my roamings through the Web, I found
something like this.

and I liked!

So the other day (James finally owned up and taught me how to run the 'big' saw!!!)
I sawed away and cut this board.
I painted it black.
Cut out a stencil using my Silhouette!
and painted on the letters!
Tonight I glued on the clothes pin.
(which my niece says are for , 'so the clothes can't get off'. so true. hello. we can't have our clothes just jumping off of our laundry lines and our boards for our lost socks!!!)

and the finished project is this!!!.....

So hopefully now my socks will be around and ready to get folded when I want them !!!
Do you lose socks?? Do you have a special  place to keep them??

  1. I like this! I have a basket on the shelf by my washer/dryer and I toss all socks without a match in there. Every so often, I go thru and pair them up. But this looks like a more organized way to go about it :) (and I'm all about organizing!)

  2. I LOVE this idea! We have a major sock problem in our house and I never quite know where to store the lost souls until they're reunited (or not!) with their mate... You should make these to sell! :)

  3. The JD Salesman was at coffee one morning and a friend pulled a sock out of the sleeve of the Salesman's shirt! THAT is where my lost sock had found a place to hide!
    I was so thankful it was a sock and not some other piece of apparel that might stick to a shirt!
